The obverse depicted people, music note and musical instruments lying around. The coin was issued on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the festival of music. In the inner ring has the inscription "30e Anniversaire" and the letters "RF". Centrally located is the inscription "Fete de la Musique" and the year of issue – 2011. In the outer circle were painted 12 stars.

The reverse side depicted the nominal value of the coin from 2 euro.
