The obverse in the center of the coin depicts a family background of the catedral of Milan, who host the Seventh World Meeting of Families, This meeting is held every three years and its aim is to focus on the family values. In the outer circle were painted 12 stars.

The reverse side depicted the nominal value of the coin from 2 euro.
