The obverse in the center of the coin is depicts self portrait of the famous artist Helene Schjerfbeck. On the left side of the portrait has an inscription "Helene Schjerfbeck" and the year of issue "2012". On the right side of the portrait was written the year "1862-1946" and the mint mark "FI". In the outer circle were painted 12 stars.

The reverse side depicted the nominal value of the coin from 2 euro.
