This coin was issued in celebration of 10^th anniversary of the euro banknotes and coins. Author of the art exhibition is designer Helmut Andekslinger.

The obverse in the center of the coin depicts the euro symbol and around him are depicted people (family), the financial sector (the building of ECB), trade (ships) and industry (wing power stations and factories). The sign of the euro in the center of the coin symbolizes how all these sectors together are made one common monetary system. In the inner circle of the coin is written the years  2002 – 2012 and the name of the country of issue written in the relevant languages. In the outer circle were painted 12 stars.

The reverse side depicted the nominal value of the coin from 2 euro.
